To ensure we maintain our ratios only a limited number of children under 3 years will be admitted at anyone time.

The Pre-school has 5 staff fully trained through the Pre-school Learning Alliance up to Level 3 NVQ and two pre-school practitioners. In total 7 permanent staff. Our Ofsted report is available for your inspection upon request.

Hours of Opening - Monday to Friday 09:10 - 14:40hrs.(Subject to demand).
Sessions are 09.10 -13.10 (4 hr session) 2 – 5 years.

The general aim of the Pre-school is to create a happy, secure and stimulating environment where children can be encouraged to develop to their full potential, not only intellectually but socially, physically and emotionally. Activities will promote effective learning, through an exciting, varied and progressive curriculum ensuring practitioners support and extend children’s learning and development.

Current fees are £3.40 per hour..  Please note a half terms notice is required for those wishing to either extend or cancel days.

Parents and Carers are encouraged to help out during a session at least once every half term. We believe that this involvement is a vital part of your child’s early years. The Pre-School Learning Alliance and the Department of Education and Skills agree that children benefit from this form of involvement.
During the session you will have the opportunity to be part of the team, assisting with activities and the refreshment table. Parents are welcome to be part of the task/accreditation team which involves monitoring and supporting the pre-school.

We aim to deliver learning and development through play.  Encourage children's social, intellectual, physical and emotional development.  Support and create positive attitudes towards physical activity.
The principles that guide this work are grouped into 4 themes.
